Refund & Billing Policy

This Refund & Billing Policy describes how billing works for paid membership of StrataProtocol.org, operated by Florante Pascual. It covers what you are charged for, our refund window, cancellation, and how we handle pricing changes.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the paid membership tiers of the Service (for example, customer and partner tiers). Free community accounts are not charged and are not subject to this policy. The public documentation remains free to read without any account.
2. Billing and Currency
Paid memberships are billed on a recurring cycle (for example, monthly or annually), disclosed at the point of purchase. All prices and charges are stated and processed in USD unless stated otherwise at checkout. Billing is handled by our payment processor; we do not store your card details.
3. What You Are Charged For
Your membership fee grants access to the member materials and features of your tier for the billing period. Access continues for as long as your membership remains active and paid.
4. Refunds
If you are not satisfied with a paid membership, you may request a refund within 14 days of the charge. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. After the refund window has passed, charges for the current period are non-refundable, though you may still cancel to prevent future charges.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund within the eligible window, contact us at support@strataprotocol.org from the email address associated with your account, and include the charge date. We will confirm and process eligible refunds promptly.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your paid membership at any time. When you cancel, your membership remains active until the end of the current billing period, and you are not charged again. Canceling stops future charges; it does not, by itself, trigger a refund for the current period (see the refund window above).
7. Pricing Changes
We may change membership pricing. If a change affects your renewal price, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before it takes effect, so you can decide whether to continue. Continuing your membership after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.
8. Invoices and Receipts
A receipt is issued for each successful charge to the email address on your account. You are responsible for keeping your billing email current.
9. Failed Payments
If a recurring payment fails, we may retry the charge and may suspend access to paid features until payment succeeds. If payment cannot be collected, the paid membership may be canceled.
10. Taxes
Prices may be exclusive of applicable taxes. Where we are required to collect tax, it will be shown at checkout and added to your charge.
